Nature calls us at different times of our life. One may be born with a passion to roam amongst the simplicity of the forest or there may be an inner desire to find peace from a busy schedule. Fishing
Dreaming of a weekend of fishing where you will reel in big bass, crappie, bream, or catfish? Look no further! Lake Reidsville is a popular spot for anglers who fish from their boat, the dock, or designated bank area to feel the tug on the line. Of course, if you live in NC, there is nothing more nostalgic than a kid and a cane pole, watching a bobber bounce with the waves and then screaming “I got one” when the red cork is pulled beneath the waterline. Just standing by the water you can feel the stress leave you as you breathe in the fresh air and wait for the pole to tip. You must have a fishing license, but you can obtain one at the lake store.
Want to learn more about fishing? The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, along with N.C. B.A.S.S. and the City of Reidsville, recently opened an educational fishing trail on Lake Reidsville to help anglers learn how to catch largemouth bass and other sport fish during different times of the year. The N.C. Fishing Trail at Lake Reidsville consists of nine fishing sites scattered around the reservoir. Each site is enhanced with fish attractors to attract largemouth bass and other sport fish. Anglers will learn about seasonal movements of fish that can help increase their success and make fishing more enjoyable.
