In fact, we are home to the first public school in North Carolina, Williamsburg Elementary. It is our history of “first in education” that drives Reidsville to continuously provide the best for our students both inside and outside the classroom. Reidsville also has an amazingly talented art community that includes local artists like sculptor, Brad Spencer and a thriving theater guild and arts council. We are thoroughly rich in history with a dedicated historic district featuring treasures like Penn House and Governor Reid House.

Located in the center of downtown, Market Square plays hosts to numerous events throughout the year,including Movies on the Square, live concerts, craft shows and our summer farmer’s market. Our Reside in Reidsville program is hosted by the City of Reidsville to connect new residents to others in the community including city leaders, local companies, as well as introducing community activities and amenities.
Uprooting your life isn’t easy, yet it’s exciting and new. You’ll get to explore a new place and all things we have to offer. Participate in activities such as live concert sat Market Square, trying local eats like a heaping helping of BBQ at Short Sugar’s Drive-In, or spend the day outdoors hiking or fishing at Lake Reidsville.
So now, you live. You work, you develop your new routine. You explore. You discover the restaurants and bars that become your favorite. You adventure to quaint towns and nearby bustling cities. You enjoy scenic parks and open trails that expose you to an entirely new world.
